5. Part-Time Applicants PAT Test at Ridge Fire Academy: December 12, 2010 (More info on the PAT test is on Ridge's Minimum Standards Page They also have a PowerPoint)
6. Set up Part-Time Interviews: week of December 19, 2010
7. Interview Part-Time applicants, December 19-23, 2010(19th will be PM and the 23th will be AM)

Steps:

Most positions require you to be a Florida Certified Firefighter and an Emergency Medical Technician
ALL positions require an approved 16-hour EVOC certificate with lecture and practical components

Check for on-line posting of open positions. |

Complete on-line application during posting period. |

Wait for contact from Poilk County Personnel Division. |
|
Minimum Driving History Requirements for New Employees:
- Have not accrued 12 points within 36 months or 18 points within 48 months.
- Have not been convicted on alcohol/drug related offenses within 36 mounts.
- Have not been convicted of two (2) alcohol/drug related offenses within 10 years.
- Have not had a suspension, revocation, or restriction due to moving violations or alcohol/ drug related problem, including failure to take a breath test within the 36 months prior.
- Must provide proof of insurance when required to use their personal vehicle as part of their daily job duties.
- Have not had two (2) failures to pay fines within 36 months.
- Have not had two (2) seatbelt violations within 36 months.
- Have not had three (3) lapses of insurance within 36 months.
- No serious traffic violations such as leaving the scene or driving on a suspended license within 36 months.
- ALL PCFR jobs require possession of an approved 16-hour Emergency Vehicle Operations Course consisting of classroom and driving skills. This must be in-hand at time of application.
