Polk County Fire Rescue is one of the many agencies dispatched by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office. We utilize the Tiburon Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system that is integrated with Polk and Hardees’s 911 system. The CAD system is designed to aid the emergency dispatcher to ensure the correct amount and type of emergency units are dispatched based on the nature of the emergency and the availability of the various emergency vehicles. We also utilize Tiburon’s MobileCom software in our fire based ambulances and soon in our fire apparatus to allow for information, maps and other items to be viewed from the vehicle and for the tracking of the vehicles in an Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) system.

Polk County Fire also uses the Tiburon FireRecords Record Management System (RMS) for our incident reporting and other records needs.
